Monday Mantra {pt.31} - Six-Word Memiors

She stumbled, but always got up.

Would you be able to describe your life in six words? Literary legend has it that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a novel in just six words. His response? “For sale:  baby shoes, never worn.”

Inspired by this, in 2006 Smith Magazine challenged their readers to sum up their lives using six words. The challenge became wildly popular and was eventually developed into the Six-Word Memoirs© book series.

I'd never heard of this idea until my sister recently challenged me. She's also a writer at heart, and when I saw her answer I knew I had to share it here. Her six words were:  "She stumbled, but always got up." Succinct, poignant and relatable--I could be just slightly biased, but I love what she came up with.

Have a great rest of your Monday!

Could you describe your life in just six words? Which would you choose? I'd love it if you'd share!
