It's Weekend Time

Hello, hello--happy Friday! I hope y’all are having a great one so far.

I don’t know about you, but I can barely contain my excitement for this weekend. My boyfriend’s family rents a mountain lake house every summer and we are heading up there bright and early tomorrow morning. This will be my fourth summer going and I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve right now! I am taking a few days off work next week and looking forward to a vacation, lots of laughs and new memories.

One of the most refreshing things about the lake is the lack of phone and internet service. I'll be checking in with a few scheduled posts, but plan to enjoy being unplugged!

'Til then, here are a few finds I enjoyed this week:

  1. Did you know July is National Grilling Month? Grilled veggies are my favorite and I am dying to try this Balsamic Grilled Vegetable recipe. Simple, yet so flavorful!
  2. Y'all know my obsession with love for keeping my desktop decorated. I just couldn't resist this fresh & colorful July desktop calendar!
  3. To anyone who has ever gone for a run in the South during the summer:  do yourself a solid and check out Elle's tips for choosing the best summer running apparel. I'm all for anything that keeps the heat & humidity from winning.
  4. I have come to admire Ciera's blog and design work and learned a great deal from her ALT Summit panel recap on growing a small blog.
  5. I've mentioned my thing for Indigo before so I wasn't surprised when Alexandra's post on the delicate Shibori process caught my eye. Might need to add this to my DIY list!

Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for reading.
