I've always loved the start of a new year. It gives us a chance to reflect, make changes, share new ideas and move forward with a plan. "Dreaming of" is a new series that I'm excited to debut on the blog in 2015. It will be centered around ideas, projects and decor that make up the house that appears in my dreams. As an apartment dweller, I haven't had the chance to decorate a space from scratch, but that hasn't stopped my mind from running wild with ideas for the future. I already have a few posts in mind--hope you enjoy!
One thing I hope to have in my "dream house" is a solid collection of art. I love how a painting can add a whole new level of character to a room. While searching for a painting to center this living room around, I stumbled on this olive green abstract painting from Invaluable's painting page and immediately fell in love. The painting itself is beautiful, but I also had fun choosing contrasting colors as accents.
After all, there's nothing wrong with dreaming, right?
Do you have an art collection? What do you consider when choosing pieces for your home? I'd love to hear!
